Reconnecting an account
What to do when a connection stops working, and what happens when you disconnect an account.
When a connection stops working
- A connection can stop working, for example after a password change or when access is removed on the platform.
- REVERB checks connections at least once a day. A broken one shows a warning next to the account in the sidebar.
- To fix it, connect the same account again. Posts and settings stay.
- While it’s broken, Analytics shows a gap marked “not synced” for that account instead of zeros.
When a connection breaks, everyone on the team gets one email about it, usually within about 15 minutes of REVERB noticing.
Disconnecting
Anyone on the team can disconnect an account on the Team page. When you do:
- The account’s access is deleted from REVERB.
- Scheduled posts stop going to it. A post with no account left goes back to the drafts.
- Imported posts and all stats of that account are removed.
- Posts published through REVERB stay in your history. Connecting the same account again brings them back to it, with their stats.
Removing REVERB on Facebook or Instagram
Removing REVERB in your Facebook or Instagram settings does the same as Disconnect, for every account you connected.
See Privacy and your data for what is deleted and when.
