Media requirements
Which files you can upload, what each platform accepts, and how long REVERB keeps your files.
Files you can upload
- A post has one video or several photos, not both.
- Photos: JPEG, PNG or WebP.
- Videos: MP4, MOV or WebM.
Quality
- Videos are uploaded exactly as you exported them. REVERB doesn’t transcode them.
- A PNG or WebP photo gets a JPEG copy for platforms that only take JPEG, such as Instagram. Transparent areas become white there; the editor warns you.
What your upload becomes
| You add | TikTok | YouTube | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 photo | Post | Photo post | Photo post | – |
| Several photos | Carousel | Multi-photo post | Photo carousel | – |
| Video | Reel | Reel | Video | Short |
Limits per platform
The editor checks these before you schedule. They follow what each platform accepts.
| Platform | Photos | Video |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 8 MB each, aspect ratio between 4:5 and 1.91:1, up to 10 in a carousel | Reels of 3 seconds to 15 minutes, up to 300 MB | |
| Up to 10 MB each | Reels of 3 to 90 seconds, 9:16 | |
| TikTok | Up to 20 MB each, up to 35 in a post | 3 seconds to 10 minutes, up to 4 GB |
| YouTube | – | Shorts: vertical or square, up to 3 minutes |
How long files are kept
- Uploaded photos and videos are deleted 30 days after a post goes out. The post, its links and stats stay; it then shows without a picture.
- Drafts nobody touched for 90 days are deleted with their files.
